Overview

  • Suzuki has reintroduced the GSX-R1000R as a 2026 model in the UK and Europe on July 31, 2025, ending its two-year absence from European showrooms.
  • The 1,000cc inline-four engine produces 193 hp at 13,200 rpm and 110 Nm of torque at 11,000 rpm thanks to a new crankshaft, forged pistons, upgraded fuel pump and enlarged throttle bodies.
  • MotoGP-derived variable valve timing and combustion refinements enable Euro5+ emissions compliance while retaining the bike’s peak output.
  • Carbon winglets developed by Suzuki’s CN Challenge team for last year’s Suzuka 8 Hours generate downforce to improve high-speed stability.
  • A six-axis IMU oversees traction control, a 10-level anti-wheelie system, launch control, lean-sensitive ABS and bi-directional quickshifting, and observers say the relaunch could signal Suzuki’s factory racing comeback.
