Suzuki Jimny Three-Door Set to Return to Australia in February With Safety Tech Upgrades and Higher Price

A dual-camera AEB upgrade restores compliance with tougher Australian safety rules.

Overview

  • Deliveries are scheduled to begin in February 2026 after a pause triggered by new Australian Design Rules for AEB performance.
  • Pricing now starts from AU$31,990 before on-road costs for the Lite manual, with the range topping out at AU$36,490 for the automatic.
  • Standard additions include Dual Sensor Brake Support II, adaptive cruise control, lane departure prevention, and front and rear parking sensors.
  • Infotainment is upgraded to a 7.0-inch touchscreen in the Lite and a 9.0-inch unit in the Jimny, both with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the CD player is deleted.
  • Core hardware is unchanged with a 1.5-litre petrol four-cylinder, five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmissions, and part-time 4WD, and Suzuki reports roughly 600 back orders.
