Suzanna Makkos Named Head of Comedy at ABC Entertainment and Hulu Originals

Suzanna Makkos, a seasoned comedy executive, has left her role at Max and Adult Swim to join ABC Entertainment and Hulu Originals as head of comedy.
In her new position, Makkos will oversee comedy development, current series programming, adult animation, and stand-up specials for both ABC and Hulu.
This hire follows an October 2024 restructuring that combined the scripted teams of ABC and Hulu under Simran Sethi, who will be Makkos' direct supervisor.
Makkos' impressive track record includes developing acclaimed shows such as 'Hacks,' 'The Sex Lives of College Girls,' and 'Bob's Burgers' during her tenures at Max and Fox.
Her appointment fills a long-standing vacancy in the comedy leadership roles at both ABC and Hulu, with her official start expected next week.
