Overview

• The crash occurred around 12:45 a.m. Friday at 60th Street and South Michigan Avenue in the Washington Park neighborhood.
• A black SUV driven by a man collided with a marked Chicago Police Department patrol car that was carrying two officers.
• The SUV driver and passenger were taken to St. Bernard Hospital and the officers to a local facility, with all four individuals reported in good condition with minor injuries.
• Chicago police have not issued any citations related to the collision and have launched an internal investigation under standard procedures.
• It is the second reported CPD vehicle crash this summer, following a June 3 pursuit incident that injured three officers.
