Overview

• Samrala police registered an Excise Act FIR based on a CBI report after 108 liquor bottles were found at Harcharan Singh Bhullar’s Samrala farmhouse.
• Bhullar remains in 14-day judicial custody until October 30 following his October 16 arrest over an alleged ₹8 lakh bribe from a Mandi Gobindgarh scrap dealer.
• Searches recovered about ₹7.5 crore in cash, 2.5 kg of gold jewellery, 26 luxury watches, four firearms with 100 cartridges, and papers tied to more than 50 properties.
• An alleged middleman was also arrested in the bribery case, with officials reporting ₹21 lakh recovered from him, and cash was seized from the farmhouse as well.
