Suspected Human Bones Discovered in Queensland National Park

Police have launched an investigation and search operation after a passerby reported finding possible human remains in Springbrook National Park.

The suspected human bones were found by a member of the public at approximately 11:35am on Friday in Springbrook National Park, located in the Gold Coast hinterland.
The discovery was made on Repeater Station Road, prompting Queensland Police to establish a crime scene in the area.
Authorities have confirmed that searches of the surrounding area will continue throughout Saturday as part of the investigation.
Springbrook National Park is a well-known tourist destination, popular for its waterfalls, rainforests, and ancient trees.
