Suspected Gas Explosion Destroys Michigan Condos, Injures Two

The blast in Orion Township displaced dozens, critically injured two seniors, and left multiple buildings severely damaged.

A suspected natural gas leak caused a powerful explosion at the Keatington New Town condominiums in Orion Township, Michigan, on Tuesday evening.
Two individuals, a 72-year-old man and a 75-year-old woman, suffered critical injuries and were hospitalized, while several others sustained minor injuries.
The explosion destroyed a four-unit condo building, heavily damaged nearby structures, and displaced residents from at least 15 units.
Woodside Bible Church has been providing temporary shelter and accepting donations of food and clothing for affected residents, with additional support from local organizations and a GoFundMe campaign.
Firefighters from nine departments responded to the scene, and authorities are continuing to investigate the exact cause of the explosion.
