Suspected Cuautitlán Double Femicide Arrested in Acapulco After Coordinated Manhunt

Both men are in State of Mexico custody ahead of the primary suspect’s initial hearing on Monday.

  • The victims, Cindy, 25, and her mother Teresa de Jesús, 52–53, were found dead on January 13 in a home in San Francisco Cascantitla, Cuautitlán.
  • Officials cite necropsy findings of death by strangulation, while relatives contend the women suffered blows and request further inquiry into a possible blunt object.
  • Both detainees were advised of their rights and transferred to the State of Mexico as investigators continue forensic work and examine prior family complaints and possible additional accomplices.
