Overview
- Police were called Sunday night to a reported suspicious vehicle and possible break-in at the fire-damaged twin home, but officers did not locate a suspect vehicle.
- The fire started just after 10 p.m. on Oct. 12 at 5110 48th Avenue South and spread to the adjacent 5108 unit, with heat also damaging a neighboring home’s siding.
- Firefighters encountered heavy flames from the ground floor to the roof and knocked down the blaze by 10:37 p.m.
- One resident was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
- A dog found inside was taken to a veterinarian and later died, and residents of both units were displaced as the Fargo Fire Department continues to investigate the cause.
