Suspected Arson Destroys Building in Berlin's Botanical Volkspark

Police are investigating after a fire completely burned down an unoccupied building in the historic park, with no injuries reported.

The fire occurred early Saturday morning in a 130-square-meter, single-story building in the Botanical Volkspark Blankenfelde, Berlin.
Firefighters, using a ladder truck, took approximately three hours to extinguish the flames, preventing the fire from spreading to nearby trees and structures.
The building was uninhabited, and no individuals were injured during the incident.
The Landeskriminalamt (LKA) has taken over the investigation, suspecting arson as the cause of the fire.
Authorities are examining a potential link to a previous incident at the site involving burglary and arson.
