Suspected Arson at Hanoi Karaoke Bar Kills 11

A 51-year-old man confessed to starting the deadly fire after an argument, blocking exits and trapping victims inside.

Eleven people died and two were injured in a fire at a karaoke bar in Hanoi late Wednesday night, with seven others rescued.
Police arrested a 51-year-old man who admitted to using gasoline to ignite the blaze after a dispute with staff members.
The fire began on the ground floor of the three-story building, quickly spreading and blocking all exits, making escape impossible.
CCTV footage reportedly showed the suspect carrying a container of gasoline into the building shortly before the fire started.
Vietnam has faced recurring fire safety issues, with weak enforcement of regulations and previous deadly incidents in karaoke bars.
