Suspect Pleads Not Guilty in Brutal Killing of L.A. Model Found in Refrigerator

  • Humphrey, 41, with a criminal history across multiple states, pleaded not guilty to charges of murder and torture and is held without bail. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 7.
  • Mooney was last seen alive on Sept. 6, and her body was discovered on Sept. 12 following a welfare check requested by her family. She was two months pregnant at the time of her death.
  • Investigators have not disclosed a possible motive or what led them to Humphrey, who has been convicted of several felonies, including gun charges, assaults, and false imprisonment.
