- On June 11, Richard Vaka pleaded not guilty to first-degree residential burglary, grand theft and taking a vehicle without consent in the May 2 break-in at the widow’s South San Francisco home.

- Authorities recovered the stolen vehicle on May 6 after an Alameda County Sheriff’s Office traffic stop and found some of Brian Montana’s personal property inside.
