Suspect in 'Bling Bishop' Robbery Killed by U.S. Marshals

Shamar Leggette, wanted for the 2022 robbery of Bishop Lamor Whitehead, was shot dead in New Jersey during an attempted arrest.

Leggette was one of three men who allegedly robbed Whitehead and his wife of over $1 million in jewelry during a livestreamed sermon.
Two other suspects in the robbery have already been arrested and pleaded guilty.
Whitehead, also known as the 'Bling Bishop', has faced scrutiny for his lavish lifestyle and is currently facing charges of fraud and extortion.
Despite the robbery, Whitehead has expressed forgiveness towards Leggette and offered condolences to his family.
