Suspect Charged in Fatal Stabbing of Macy's Security Guard
Tyrone Tunnell faces multiple charges after a double stabbing at a Philadelphia Macy's left one security guard dead and another critically injured.
- Tyrone Tunnell, 30, has been charged with murder, attempted murder, aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, possession of an instrument of crime, tampering with evidence and retail theft following a double stabbing at a Philadelphia Macy's.
- The victim who died, Eric Harrison, 27, was stabbed once in the neck and later pronounced dead at Jefferson Hospital.
- The second victim, a 23-year-old man, was treated for stab wounds to his face and arm and is currently in critical but stable condition.
- The incident began when Tunnell allegedly tried to steal some hats from the store, was confronted by the security guards, and then returned to attack them.
- Tunnell was apprehended shortly after the incident and is being held without bail.
