Suspect at Large After Deadly Highway Shootout in Côte-d’Or

The operation was part of an investigation into a suspected organized smuggling network facilitating illegal migration between France and the UK.
Three Iraqi men, aged 24, 26, and 36, were arrested and remain in custody on suspicion of attempted homicide against law enforcement officers.
A fourth suspect is still being actively sought by authorities as the investigation continues under the Dijon prosecutor's office.
A RAID officer sustained a leg injury during the exchange of gunfire, and the case has been transferred to the original tribunal overseeing the smuggling inquiry.
