Overview

• Officers responded to gunfire at about 8:15 p.m. Sunday at student housing on the 5800 block of Jupiter Road and found a man with two gunshot wounds.
• The wounded individual was treated at the scene and taken to a local hospital with non‐life‐threatening injuries.
• Students were ordered to shelter in place while officers conducted a systematic search of the apartments.
• A person of interest was arrested on the property roughly 20 minutes after officers arrived without any reported standoff.
