Suspect Arrested in Fatal Shooting of Woman on Nashville Trail

Paul Park was apprehended less than 24 hours after Alyssa Lokits was killed while exercising on the Mill Creek Greenway.

Alyssa Lokits, 34, was shot and killed Monday evening while walking on the Mill Creek Greenway in Nashville.
Witnesses reported hearing Lokits scream for help, claiming she was being attacked, before a gunshot was heard.
Paul Park, 29, was identified as the suspect after dashcam footage provided by a local resident showed clear images of him and his vehicle.
Park was recognized by a detective who had previously worked on a case involving his identical twin brother.
Police arrested Park on Tuesday afternoon in Brentwood, Tennessee, and he is charged with criminal homicide.
