- On July 8, deputies say a 41-year-old man forced his way into a woman’s room on Grand Avenue near Las Posas Road, threatened her with a box cutter and stole several pieces of jewelry.
- Investigators report the suspect then compelled the victim to undress before sexually assaulting her until she fought him off and he fled the scene.
- San Diego County deputies identified the suspect as Adolfo Brito and arrested him on July 15 in Vista’s Park Center Drive business park.
- He is booked on felony counts of robbery, burglary, assault with intent to commit a felony encompassing the sexual assault, assault with a deadly weapon and grand theft.
