Overview

- The driver fired at least one round that hit a police vehicle during the pursuit, and no injuries were reported.
- The fleeing vehicle crashed into a second marked squad car in the 4500 block of North Meade Avenue in Portage Park.
- The suspect ran from the crash scene and was taken into custody in the 6100 block of West Eastwood Avenue.
- A firearm was recovered from the Jeep, Area Five detectives are investigating, and charges remain pending.
