Susann E. to Stand Trial in Dresden for Alleged NSU Support

  • On June 10, the Higher Regional Court in Dresden began the trial of Susann E. after the Federal Court of Justice fully admitted the prosecutor’s indictment
  • Prosecutors allege she knew since 2007 that the NSU trio was living underground and supplied Beate Zschäpe with her health insurance card and personal details for train tickets
  • She is also accused of driving Zschäpe and Uwe Böhnhardt to a motorhome pickup appointment in Eisenach
  • The National Socialist Underground committed ten murders, two bomb attacks and more than a dozen robberies between 2000 and 2011
  • Susann E.’s husband, André E., was previously convicted in 2018 for supporting the same group and sentenced to two-and-a-half years in prison
