Surya Tilak Ceremony Illuminates Ram Lalla Idol During Grand Ram Navami Festivities in Ayodhya

The Surya Tilak ceremony was successfully conducted at noon on April 6, 2025, with sunlight illuminating the forehead of the Ram Lalla idol at the Ram Janmabhoomi temple.
The ceremony, symbolizing the birth of Lord Ram, utilized an optical system designed by the Central Building Research Institute (CBRI) in Roorkee to align sunlight precisely with the idol's forehead.
Over 20-30 lakh devotees attended the Ram Navami celebrations in Ayodhya, with extensive arrangements for crowd control, health, and safety, including temporary health centers and ORS distribution.
The event was broadcast live on Doordarshan and streamed on social media platforms, with LED screens set up across Ayodhya for those unable to access the temple directly.
The celebrations featured vibrant decorations, the lighting of over two lakh diyas, and traditional rituals such as bathing in the Saryu River, reflecting the cultural and spiritual significance of the occasion.
