Overview

• Lord Malayappa was taken in a morning Surya Prabha Vahanam procession, appearing in Badri Narayana alankaram and drawing large crowds along the mada streets.
• The afternoon featured Snapana Thirumanjanam for the second time this festival at Ranganayakula Mandapam, with garlands crafted from dry fruits, kiwi, pineapple, vatteveru, cloves, roses and tulasi.
• Erstwhile mirasidars of Kalyanakatta fixed the golden umbrella atop the wooden chariot in preparation for the Rathotsavam scheduled for Wednesday.
• The day concluded with the Chandraprabha Vahanam procession and subsequent rituals at the yagasala inside the temple.
• TTD said around 3,500 Srivari Sevaks ensured service on Garuda Seva day, distributing over 9.28 lakh food packets, 6.27 lakh cups of beverages and 4.36 lakh biscuit packets.
