Overview
- About three quarters of 501 German employees who use AI report saving at most three hours per week, and roughly one in six see no time savings at all.
- Nearly two thirds say their companies neither support nor promote AI use, and just over one in ten say it is viewed critically.
- In workplaces without guidance, time freed by AI is often spent on breaks, administrative tasks or extra meetings, with almost half judging it unproductive.
- Where firms establish explicit frameworks, almost one in five users save more than six hours weekly and more often put the time into learning or creative projects.
- The survey was conducted by Appinio for Indeed in early May 2025 and shared with iX, and the full results have not been publicly released.
