- Destatis reported that the share perceiving hate speech rose to 34% in Q1 2025 from 28% in 2023, equating to about 19.6 million users.
- Perceived disinformation reached 54%, or roughly 31.2 million people, an increase of six percentage points compared with 2023.
- Younger users reported higher exposure, with 43% of those aged 16–44 noticing hate speech versus 27% of 45–64s and 20% of 65–74s.
