• Newly released footage from inside Rebecca Towers captures the hallway attack and was broadcast by local outlets on Sept. 19–20.
• Investigators identified the suspect as John Gula, 83, who is charged with attempted second-degree murder, held without bond at MetroWest, with a Nov. 20 court date.
• The stabbing happened Aug. 4 outside Gula’s 10th-floor unit after property manager Amelia Sola Ortiz approached him about a failed inspection.
• Ortiz was transported to Ryder Trauma Center and is reported to be recovering at home.
