  • By about 15:42, the chemicals were contained and residents were told they could reopen windows and doors, with crews remaining on site for hours.
  • On Oct. 17, Surrey Fire and Rescue said hazardous materials advisors confirmed air quality had returned to background levels and there is no ongoing risk.
