Overview
- Acting on a tip-off, teams cordoned a house on Ashiyana Street in Dabhel, Navsari, where Salman Mirza was hiding, and he allegedly tried to flee and attacked Inspector PK Sodha with a knife.
- An officer fired one round that hit Mirza’s right leg below the knee; he received primary treatment locally and was shifted to New Civil Hospital in Surat, where officials reported him stable.
- Mirza was wanted in the October 24 Unn killing of Shakeel Shaikh registered at Bhestan police station, with three co-accused already arrested, according to police.
