Supreme Court Sets Oct. 15 Hearing on Sonam Wangchuk Detention as Ladakh, Jail File Affidavits

  • Authorities told the court the grounds of detention were served on September 29, the order was sent to the NSA Advisory Board, and his wife was informed by police.
  • Officials said Wangchuk has not yet submitted a representation to the Advisory Board, which invited him in writing to do so within a week of October 10.
  • Jodhpur Central Jail reported he is medically fit, housed alone in a 20×20 ft barrack without solitary confinement, met family and lawyers in early October, and received a laptop on request.
