Supreme Court Orders WBSSC to Publish ‘Tainted’ List, Lets Sept. 7 and 14 Exams Proceed

The move tightens oversight of the rebooted 2016 hiring after sweeping fraud findings.

  • The Supreme Court’s April ruling annulled 25,753 2016 appointments for large-scale manipulation and allowed untainted teachers to continue in service through December 31, 2025, with the case next listed on October 8.
