Overview

• Six Supreme Court judges, including Justice B R Gavai, will visit relief camps in Manipur on March 22, 2025, to assess the status of internally displaced persons (IDPs).

• A team of 25 specialized doctors from Chennai will provide medical services at relief camps for six additional days, ensuring access to treatment and essential medicines for displaced families.
• The ethnic violence in Manipur, which began in May 2023, has displaced over 50,000 people, with ongoing challenges in rehabilitation and legal proceedings under Supreme Court oversight.
