Supreme Court Intervenes in Calcutta High Court Conflict

  • Justice Gangopadhyay ignored the Division Bench's order and asked for a relook by the Supreme Court into the orders passed by Justice Sen.
  • The Supreme Court has issued a notice to the state of West Bengal and stayed all further proceedings before the Calcutta High Court.
  • A five-judge constitution bench led by Chief Justice CJI DY Chandrachud will now take up the matter in a special hearing.
