Overview
- A bench led by Chief Justice B. R. Gavai granted the Centre more time and impleaded the Ministry of Cooperation, listing the matter after six weeks.
- Amicus curiae Shekhar Naphade told the court he has received at least 34 claims on properties Sahara seeks to sell and urged public disclosure or newspaper notices to invite objections.
- Naphade’s report says many assets are encumbered or disputed, including 63 properties under Income-Tax attachment, Enforcement Directorate actions on some, unclear titles for dozens, and third-party claims on key sites such as Aamby Valley and Lucknow projects.
