Overview

• At a meeting on October 14 chaired by Chief Justice B R Gavai, the collegium recommended moving the Madhya Pradesh High Court judge to the Allahabad High Court.
• The collegium’s resolution noting the revised recommendation was uploaded to the Supreme Court website today.
• In August, the collegium had proposed transferring Justice Sreedharan to the Chhattisgarh High Court before revising that view on reconsideration.
• Justice Sreedharan was shifted from Madhya Pradesh to the Jammu and Kashmir High Court in April 2023 at his request and returned to Madhya Pradesh in March 2025.
• He was appointed an additional judge in April 2016 and became a permanent judge in March 2018 after prior practice in Delhi and Indore.
