Levi's Stadium previously hosted Super Bowl 50 in 2016 and will also host World Cup matches in 2026.
The Bay Area will host the Super Bowl for the third time, with previous ones at Stanford Stadium and Levi's Stadium.
Most Super Bowl week events will take place in San Francisco, with teams expected to practice and stay in Santa Clara.
The 49ers plan stadium upgrades and hope to host more Super Bowls, enter the regular rotation of host cities.
