SUPARCO Confirms First 2025 Supermoon to Peak Oct. 7 at 8:47 p.m. Pakistan Standard Time

  • SUPARCO says the October supermoon will be visible across Pakistan and worldwide, depending on local weather and sky conditions.
  • The Moon will rise in the east shortly after sunset and set in the west shortly before sunrise for optimal viewing.
  • At peak, the Moon will be about 224,599 miles from Earth, closer than its average distance.
  • Observers can expect the disk to appear roughly 6.6% larger and about 13% brighter than a typical full Moon.
  • Two additional supermoons are scheduled for November 5 and December 5, with the November event expected to be the brightest at roughly 221,817 miles.
