Overview

  • The closure was formally announced to employee representatives during an extraordinary CSE meeting.
  • Production of canned sodas and 56 positions will be transferred progressively to Suntory’s Donnery facility in Loiret.
  • The La Courneuve site employs about 105–110 people, with unions describing shock and distress among staff.
  • Suntory will reduce its French production footprint from four plants to three and plans to invest more than €170 million in its industrial network.
  • The company cites declining sales since 2022, surging production costs, reduced purchasing power, and a recent increase in the sugary-drinks tax as reasons for the decision.
