Overview
- Mamelodi Sundowns coach Miguel Cardoso confirmed that Saleng is not training with the senior squad after the club recorded repeated breaches of team rules.
- Cardoso said the winger missed team camps, failed to report for a CAF Champions League second-leg fixture and repeatedly arrived late or left early from team activities.
- The technical staff say they made sustained efforts to integrate Saleng into the squad but have handed the case to club management for further action.
- Saleng’s agent, Karabo Mathang‑Tshabuse, says his behaviour reflects deeper psychological struggles and that the club has given him space while he seeks support.
- Former teammate Lebohang Mokoena says Saleng has blocked contact and missed national-team chances including the World Cup, leaving his career and Sundowns’ squad options uncertain.
