Sundance Names 2026 Competition Juries as Final Park City Edition Nears
Festival leaders frame the selections as a nod to longtime Sundance collaborators committed to risk-taking storytelling.
Overview
- Janicza Bravo, Nisha Ganatra and Azazel Jacobs will lead the U.S. dramatic competition jury.
- Natalia Almada, Justin Chang and Jennie Livingston will judge U.S. documentary, with Ana Katz, So Yong Kim and Tatiana Maslany set for world cinema dramatic.
- Toni Kamau, Bao Nguyen and Kirsten Schaffer will oversee world cinema documentary, while Liv Constable-Maxwell, A. V. Rockwell and Martin Starr will judge the short film program.
- John Cooper and Trevor Groth will serve as jurors for the festival’s NEXT section.
- The festival runs Jan. 22–Feb. 1 in what will be the final edition in Park City before a move to Boulder, with a slate that includes features from Olivia Wilde, David Wain, Antoine Fuqua and Jay Duplass.
