Sundance Film Festival Announces 2024 Lineup

The 40th edition to feature 53 short films from a record 12,098 submissions, special screenings, and panels with Sundance alumni.

The Sundance Film Festival has announced its lineup of 53 short films for the 2024 edition, curated from a record 12,098 submissions, with works from 22 countries.
The festival will also feature a slate of special screenings including a restored version of “Napoleon Dynamite,” “The Babadook,” and “The Times of Harvey Milk.”
The festival will take place in person in Park City and Salt Lake City, Utah, from Jan. 18-28, with a selection of titles available online from Jan. 25-28.
The festival will also host several panels featuring Sundance alumni, including a conversation about the legacy of independent storytelling with Miguel Arteta, Richard Linklater, Dawn Porter, and Christine Vachon.
The 40th edition of the festival will also celebrate its history with a screening of seminal short films from Sundance’s past, hosted by Jay Duplass and Mark Duplass.
