Sundance Film Festival 2024 Breaks Submission Record

Festival Prioritizes In-Person Screenings, Makes 60% of Titles Available Online

Sundance Film Festival 2024 will feature a record number of 17,435 submissions from 153 countries, including 4,410 feature-length films.
The festival will kick off with 11 days of screenings starting on January 18, prioritizing the in-person experience for the first six days before making films available online.
Among the films are works by veterans like Steven Soderbergh and Richard Linklater, as well as numerous newcomers and first-time filmmakers.
60% of the total Sundance titles will be available online, making the festival more accessible and inclusive.
Despite concerns about the impact of the post-pandemic production lull and two long strikes, the festival received the most submissions ever in its history.
