Overview
- Mendoza’s regulator EPRE published new tariff tables for consumption from November through January, passing through national prices and lifting the local distribution value added (VAD) by 17.4%, for an average bill increase of about 6.5%.
- Under Energy Secretariat Resolution 434/2025, in force from November 1 to April 30, residential wholesale prices run roughly ARS 63,443–66,374 per MWh versus ARS 47,940–49,496 for non-residential users, with the pattern expected to invert in winter.
- Early effects in the Buenos Aires metro show November residential electricity bills rising about 3.4%–4.1%, while many industries and shops see smaller changes or declines, in some cases down as much as 10.3%.
- Targeted protections continue through the national segmentation scheme, with Level 2 and Level 3 households retaining consumption caps and November bonifications such as up to 700 kWh bimonthly with a 65.63% discount for Level 2 and 500 kWh with a 50.54% discount for Level 3.
- In a separate move, Resolution 1698/2025 increases the natural gas surcharge for users outside the cold-zone regime from 7% to 7.2% per cubic meter.
