Whibley, 44, was deemed too ill to perform after consulting with multiple Australian doctors, leading to the decision to cancel all shows, including their co-headlining slot at Good Things Festival.
The band expressed deep regret over the cancellation, emphasizing their excitement to connect with Australian fans during their farewell tour supporting their final album, 'Heaven :x: Hell.'
This marks the second time the band has canceled Australian performances due to Whibley's health, following a similar situation in 2011.
Sum 41's farewell tour will conclude with their final performance in Toronto on January 30, 2025, followed by their induction into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame at the Juno Awards in March.
