Sultanes de Monterrey Parts Ways With Manager Roberto Kelly After Six Seasons

The club confirmed Kelly's departure on September 10 in a communiqué that thanked him for his delivery, commitment and leadership. Kelly took over in 2018, with the organization crediting him for instilling a winning mindset on and off the field. Sultanes highlighted his 14 seasons of Major League experience in noting his professionalism, dedication and passion. Before Monterrey, Kelly served on Bruce Bochy’s San Francisco Giants staff, a group that won three World Series titles. The team said it will announce the new manager at a later date, noting the franchise’s 86-year history and strong summer support at Walmart Park.
