- Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court sentenced Zekthi to 11 years and five months after his guilty pleas to aggravated vehicle taking and causing death by dangerous driving.

 - Zekthi took a £105,000 Audi from his Wolverhampton workplace without permission and was seen weaving through traffic before exiting at the Wolstanton junction.
 - Collision data showed 102mph at 130 metres and 61mph at 45 metres before he struck a Nissan and a Vauxhall Grandland carrying Stephen Penman.
 - Penman, 81, suffered severe head injuries, was discharged from intensive care, then developed pneumonia and died on May 28, 2023; Zekthi fled the scene before later surrendering as police credited witnesses with helping secure the conviction.
