Suicide Bomber Kills 7 at Mogadishu Cafe Near Police Academy

The al-Qaeda-linked group al-Shabab has claimed responsibility for the deadly attack in Somalia's capital.

Seven people, including police officers and civilians, were killed in the attack near the General Kaahiye Police Academy.
Six others sustained injuries and are receiving treatment at Madina Hospital, with many in serious condition.

Eyewitnesses described a scene of chaos after the explosion, which occurred while people were having tea at the cafe.
The attack follows a similar incident two months ago, where 37 people died in an attack on a public beach in Mogadishu.
