The album is dedicated to Stevens' late partner Evans Richardson, who passed away in April at age 43.
Richardson was a respected museum professional who attended the Oscars with Stevens in 2018.

Stevens has also been undergoing treatment for Guillain-Barré syndrome and is recovering from the autoimmune disorder.
