Substitute Teacher Charged With Child Abuse For Allowing Student to Vape In Class

A substitute teacher in Florida offered a seventh-grade student a hit from her vape pen.
Jennifer Hale overheard the boy talking about wanting to try vaping and allowed him to take a puff from her vape pen.
School administrators learned of the incident and immediately removed Hale from campus.
Hale admitted to the incident and was charged with child abuse, a third-degree felony.
Hale was released from jail on bail and is no longer employed with the school district.
