Subaru Opens Orders for Updated 2026 Solterra in Australia With Price Cuts, More Range and Power

Lower prices with major upgrades are intended to jump-start Solterra demand in Australia.

  • Orders are now open, with Subaru saying first Australian arrivals will land within about a month ahead of customer deliveries.
  • Prices fall to $63,990 before on-roads for the AWD (down $6000) and $69,990 for the AWD Touring (down $7000).
  • A new 74.7kWh CATL battery, revised motors and aero lift WLTP range to 566km for AWD and 517km for AWD Touring.
  • Output rises to 252kW, making this the most powerful mainstream Subaru to date, while AC charging doubles to 22kW and DC fast charging remains 150kW with an approx. 10–80% time of about 30 minutes.
  • Interior and capability gains include a 14-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, dual wireless chargers, V2L (Touring), and increased braked towing to 1500kg, with roadside assistance now reverting to 12 months.
