Stupid Never Dies Set for Oct. 21 Release on PS5 and PC

GPTRACK50 announced a firm launch with a global co-publishing deal from SEGA to back the studio's first single-player action-RPG.

Overview

  • GPTRACK50 confirmed that Stupid Never Dies will launch worldwide on October 21 for PlayStation 5 and Windows PC via Steam with an October 22 date in Japan.
  • SEGA will co-publish and distribute the game globally, providing the new studio with broader marketing and retail reach as it debuts its first title.
  • The game will be sold in multiple paid editions with a Standard Edition at $49.99 and a Glorious Idiot Edition at $59.99, and it will offer paid DLC called TickTock Teddies: Nonsense Overload that adds five cosmetic teddies and music remix features.
  • Two official theme tracks from the game's pop-punk soundtrack will stream on August 4 on major music platforms, and the release will include English voice-over plus wide subtitle support spanning major languages such as French, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Chinese, Spanish and more.
  • Stupid Never Dies is a single-player 3D action-RPG led by former Capcom developer Hiroyuki Kobayashi in which players control Davy, a timid zombie who steals enemy abilities, upgrades his undead body and quests to revive Julia, and its October timing places it in a crowded release window that could affect visibility and sales.
